I went to the doctor this morning and I have to wear the boot for another 2 to 4 weeks. I'm so depressed that I can't even muster up the energy to write a decent post.

I'm on very good terms with your boot's cousin. I've been dealing with a foot injury and surgery since February! I have permission (finally) to take the boot off, but my foot still hurts, so now I'm looking for a pair of winter shoes that have the same heel height as the dang boot.
I think i've been wearing it so long that the padding and normal callus on the ball of my foot thinned out to the point that I'm basically walking on bone. To build it up, I'll have to walk on it. But walking on it hurts. Vicious cycle.
I hope you heal fast and feel better soon!
