This week I ordered steel and gold for some new jewelry designs I'm working on. They both arrived yesterday. This is over $700 in gold wire sitting on top of two 12" x 24" sheets of steel. The cost for both sheets of steel - $14. Sad.

wow, i wondered if that was gold when i saw it on flickr. thats a lot of gold! what gauge is it? it seems like a lot more than $700 worth!! how fun! i love gold... never thought i would, once i started working w/ it, its soo lovely.
Oh my goodness, to me it just doesn't look like it should be $700 worth! I think that the steel is more in agreement with my budget:) I can't wait to see what you create with them!
